On Thursday, May 6, 2021, Kentaro Miura, the Renowned Author of Berserk was pronounced dead due to acute aortic dissection.
On May 20, 2021, the official Twitter account of Berserk announced the death of the author, with a letter;

The Editorial Staff of Berserk expressed their grievances in the letter and also stated that they will be announcing the death of Kentaro Miura on the Official Berserk website.
Personal remarks:

He was without a doubt one of the best Mangaka of this generation. He started publishing manga at the ripe age of 10 in 1976, called Miuranger, which spanned over 40 volumes in his local school publication.
Each and every single one of Miura’s works is a masterpiece. As a Berserk and Miura Fan, I am unable to wrap my head around this.
Joking about Miura’s death was an ongoing troupe in the Berserk fandom, but now that it has actually happened, I can’t hold back my tears.
I hope that his close family and friends can bear this loss.
On hearing this news, a friend of mine shared this One Piece quote with me,
“When do you think people die? When they are shot through the heart by the bullet of a pistol? No. When they are ravaged by an incurable disease? No. When they drink a soup made from a poisonous mushroom!? No! It’s when… they are forgotten.” — Dr. Hiriluk (One Piece)
Berserk has impacted me a lot, and I will never forget about Miura. Here I am sharing some of his works, so if you are interested, you can read them.
Over the course of his life, He has published 11 Official Manga, which include;
- Miuranger (1976)
- Ken e no Michi (1977)
- Futatabi (1985)
- Noa (1985)
- Berserk Prototype (1988)
- King of Wolves (1989)
- Berserk (1989–2021) [Incomplete]
- Ourou Den (1990)
- Japan (1992)
- Gigantomakhia (2013–2014)
- Duranki (2019–2021) [Incomplete]
I don’t think that Berserk will ever be completed, and I am fine with that.
